( This news story ) is great on so many levels.
In other news, I've decided to stop doing all the other things I should be doing and instead post a list of the top ten reasons being a man is better than being a woman (this has been a long time in the making): 1) Men are taller. 2) They can walk alone at night and are less likely to get robbed/raped/beaten severely with a blunt object. 3) They can own one set or formal attire their whole life and wear it to all events from graduation to wedding to funeral... unless they gain weight (see #4). 4) They are less prone to alcoholism and gaining weight. 5) There is less pressure to procreate. 6) Girls will still like them even if they don't change their clothes, shave, etc. 7) They tend to age better. 8) They don't have to give birth. Hmmm... I can't think of the rest right now, but there's definately more.

You are Ocean Blue

You're both warm and practical. You're very driven, but you're also very well rounded.
You tend to see both sides to every issue, and people consider you a natural diplomat.

In other news, what possessed me to give up a perfectly good job at the fitness center for a job that: - I am not good at - Is farther away - Pays less - Involves thinking - Starts before 3:00 pm - Involves befriending new people and getting them to like me Oh right, but it has to do with my major.

9:54 pm - Piercings
|
So, after long hours/years of deliberation, I finally got my ears pierced. The studs I picked are green, which is great, except for the fact that now I might have to wear green for the next 6 weeks. Or something that matches green. I did not realize this until it was too late. Overall it looks okay, but it will take some getting used to. I have to admit, it was somewhat anticlimactic - so many years spent thinking it over, and it took about 2 minutes. Hurray for spring break.

6:30 pm - Olympics
|
High points of the opening ceremony: 1) Acrobats. 2) Pavarotti. 3) Odd ear-muff type things with the image of the national flag that a few teams wore. 4) Formations. 5) The dresses of the women who carried the country name signs during the parade of nations.
Low points: 1) Yoko Ono. 2) Plastic cows and people in polka dot outfits. 3) Italian team's outfits. 4) Yoko Ono. 5) The "seemingly random assortment of American pop music" played throughout the parade of nations. 6) Yoko Ono. 7) YOKO ONO!!!

After you die... Reincarnated as Yourself
After death, you will be reborn again as yourself. You will live the same life, unbeknownst to you. However, you will have vivid moments of déjà vu, as you probably have now.

What's up with people our age getting married and having their whole lives planned out? When did we become so old?
Streetside Records is so much better than Vintage Vinyl. I don't know what I was thinking.
I miss my cousins.

So, I passed Orgo. Not really sure how this happened, but I guess all those dieties I got my suitemates to pray to must have been listening.
Saw Munich today, liked it a lot. Somehow it wasn't as heavy as I expected, but still pretty powerful. Also saw Love Actually for about the fifth time (and it just keeps getting better and better).
Hurray for being highly unproductive during break.

|
Journalism You scored 17 mental chops, 9 work ethic, 19 bullshitability, and 12 practicality! |
| You don't mind a little creativity, but you do want a practical major without working too hard or thinking too much. Try journalism...just don't forget to join the campus newspaper and clinch that job working for your home newspaper after you unearth a huge scandal involving a prominent donor and the president of your rival sorority! |
|
My test tracked 4 variables How you compared to other people your age and gender:
|
You scored higher than 22% on mental chops |
|
You scored higher than 13% on work ethic |
|
You scored higher than 52% on bullshitability |
|
You scored higher than 84% on practicality |

5:26 am - Some thoughts
|
Never start writing an 8 page paper 11 hours before it's due. But if you do, make sure you do it while mildly intoxicated. Well, on the bright side - there's only 3 pages left. On the not-so-bright side - I definately don't have 3 more pages of material. And it's 5:30 a.m. Which brings up the question of why I'm writing on Livejournal instead of working on the paper. Good bye.

8:12 pm - Thanksgiving break and killer squirrels
|
Good thing them Wash U squirrels aren't like this.....
In other news, I made the following realizations during Thanksgiving break: 1) I need to stop being so freaking quiet and awkward. 2) I really wish I could be around more Russians. 3) College sucks. 4) Regardless of how much more appealing history may be as a major than anything science-related, it is still very impractical. 5) People would enjoy my company a lot more (and vise versa) if I existed in a perpetual state of half-drunkeness. 6) Growing up is scary.
That about sums it up.

3:32 pm - Another quiz
|
| Your Career Type: Conventional | You are orderly and good at following a set plan. Your talents lie in working with written records and numbers in a systematic, orderly way.
You would make an excellent:
Bank Teller - Bookkeeper - Court Clerk Mail Carrier - Post Office Clerk - Secretary Timekeeper - Title Examiner - Typist The worst career options for your are artistic careers, like comedian or dancer. |
P.S. Anyone who likes sad cheesy 80's rock ballads must listen to "Forever Young" by Alphaville. Best song ever.
